Alice Takes Silver at Manchester U20 BRC

Well done to GB U20 International and reigning UK School Games Double Gold Medallist, Alice Campbell, who took silver at the U20 BRC (British Ranking Competition) Foil Tournament.

Congratulations also to team-mates and GB U17 Internationals, Teagan Williams-Stewart (aged just 14) and Georgia Silk (aged 15) who both made the top 16!

Well done also to Elly Knox who came 20th and to Rachel Shaw who knocked out the current GB U20 Number 1 before reaching the last 32!

England and GB Call Ups for Newham’s Super Seven!!

Newham Swords Fencing Club are very proud to announce that seven of its fencers have recently been selected to fence for England and GB at various Cadet, Junior and Senior World Cups taking place over the next two months.

At senior level, Kamal Minott (GB No.4) has just been selected for the Senior World Cups in Cairo and Tokyo, whilst Junior Commonwealth Gold Medallist, Katrina Feklistova, has been selected to represent England at the 5-Nations Tournament, taking place in Cardiff.

At junior level, recently crowned UK School Games Double Gold Medallist and GB No.2, Alice Campbell, has been selected for the U20 World Cup in Bochum, Germany, whilst Junior Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist, Ciaran Archer, will represent GB in Leszno, Poland.

At cadet level, British U16 and England U15 Champion, Teagan Williams-Stewart, will represent GB at the forthcoming U17 World Cup taking place in Modling, Austria. She will be joined by British U16 Silver Medallist, Benjamin Udrzal, and team-mate Georgia Silk.

Teagan Takes Silver at U17 BRC Tournament!!

GB U17 International, Teagan Williams-Stewart (aged just 14), added to her bronze medal from the Essex Senior Open (in September) and her bronze from the U17 BRC (in October) when taking silver at the Bristol U17 BRC Tournament, held at the weekend (29th October). Teagan missed out on gold by just one hit after losing 15-14! Well done Teagan!!

Congratulations also to her team mates, Georgia Silk (who came 5th), Ellie Knox (who came 8th) and Head Coach, Pierre Harper, who looked after them all.
