A total of  6 Newham Swords fencers made it to the top 16 but unfortunately knocked each other out of the tournament due to their seedings after the first round.

“This has been a superb season for Raj, after winning gold at the UK School Games, gold at the Gateshead U20 Tournament and now gold at the GB U20 Championships. He thoroughly deserves his GB U20 number one spot”, said Club Manager,  Linda Strachan.

“We are so proud of what Raj has acheived this season. He has taken a year off after his studies and dedicated his time to training. His results are thoroughly deserved”, added Pierre Harper, Head Coach.
