GB International and reigning British U17 Champion, Kamal Minott, put in an impressive performance at the Manchester Cadet International when gaining 5th place, losing only to GB team-mate Daniel Kiss. Both Minott and Kiss were the only British fencers to reach the last 8 of the competition.

Other outstanding results on the day came from Newham Swords team-mate and England International, James Page, who gained a place in the top 10.

Minott’s result now puts him at number 2 in the GB U17 Rankings (behind KIss) and in strong contention for the U17 European and World  Championships, taking place in March and April of next year.
